BLUG Meeting: October 20th, 2011

14.30h	Welcome with Coffee
15.00h	David Via (IBM) The emergence of Social Mail and the evolution of the IBM Collaboration platform David will share the latest information on IBM's Social Mail concept and how current and future releases of Notes, Domino, Connections and other parts of the IBM Collaboration Portfolio support the Social Business Strategy
16.00h	Niklas Heidloff (IBM) OpenNTF and a summary of the (best) submitted XPages Custom Controls Over 40 new custom controls have been submitted to OpenNTF for the August contest. Niklas will show us the winning contributions, and a lot more. You'll be wondering why you haven't used them already.
17.00h	Niklas Heidloff (IBM) New XPages extension around Mobile, Social, REST and Relational At PACLUG, Philippe Riand announced four significant features that IBM made available to XPages developers. This contribution to OpenNTF will deliver capabilities requested by customers and partners as well as reinforce XPages' strategic direction. Support for building mobile applications is improved, new functionality to build social applications is added, new data sources to access relational databases are added and Domino gets a new API to access Domino databases via REST. All stuff we've been waiting for!
